Margaret Thatchers ashes laid to rest - A true friend of Israel, the US and freedom

A true friend of Israel and close friend of Benjamin Netanyahu'
Baroness Thatcher's ashes have been laid to rest.
A true friend of Israel, staunch supporter if Zionism and protector of freedom, her ashes were taken to her final resting place in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea at a service attended by her family and close friends.

She was at home amongst the former old soldiers of the hospital and it was her wish to rest amongst them.
Her children, Sir Mark and Carol Thatcher, were among those at the central London site.
Prayers were said before a solid oak casket containing her ashes was placed in the ground next to those of her husband, Sir Denis.
Lady Thatcher was the longest-serving prime minister of the 20th Century. She governed Britain at the height of the Cold War and developed a close working relationship with president Ronald Reagan.

Her close bond with President Reagan was such that it was stated many times that the special relationship between Britain and America had never been stronger.
She visited Israel and was popular with the Jewish community in the UK and it was even noted that at one point there were more Jewish members of her cabinet than non-Jewish.

She developed a strong bond with Ronald Regan
and the two were bulwarks in the defence of freedom, strengthening
the bond between the US and UK
She was a staunch friend of Israel and took Israel's side against her enemies, standing against anti- Israel bias and defending Israel's right to self defence in the shadow of terrorist attacks and hostile nations surrounding Israel
Israeli and Jewish leaders praised her and expressed extreme sorrow with her parting.
Prayers were said by hospital chaplain the Reverend Richard Whittington as her family members comforted one another.
Among the small group of mourners were Lady Thatcher's former private secretary, Lord Powell, and Lord Bell, her former political adviser.
Sir Mark, his wife Sarah and sister Carol took it in turns to each place a single red rose alongside the casket.
This lovely lady is now resting and blessed,
